Bard Date Company purchased Dulin Date Gardens in July of 2000. Bard Date Company, LLC is a progressive leader in the date industry researching, refining, growing and establishing high quality standards for the Medjool Date.

Nestled in the picturesque desert mountains that surround the fertile valley in the lower Colorado River Region in Southeast California, a group of growers are producing the king of all dates. This timeless delicacy is being recognized today as the jewel amound California dates.
Imperial Date Growers
While working as a farm laborer for Clyde Bowman, also a Bard Valley pioneer, Isabel Nunez discovered he was strongly fascinated by the date cultivation. Mr. Nunez worked hard to realize his dream, and in 1972, purchased his first date farm. Under his loving care the date farm thrived and a few years later, he acquired Imperial Date Gardens, Inc.
By increasing acreage and yield over the years, Imperial Date Gardens matured into a leader of Medjool date production. This prosperity has led to expansion of the facilities, including two retail shops and an increasingly popular mail order program.

Royal Medjool Date Gardens
Royal Medjool Date Gardens was formed in 1968, and is one of the largest producers and shippers of the Medjool dates and date trees in the world.
Over the years, Royal has acquired several farms in the Bard Valley of Southern California and packs and ships dates from throughout the world. Royal also provides custom farming, packing and marketing for several other farms in the Bard and Yuma area. The packing house is located in Yuma, Arizona, the nearest large city.

Western Date Ranches
Western Date Ranches grows and packs only the finest Medjool Dates. As a charter member of the Bard Valley Medjool Date Growers Association, Western Date Ranches has helped develop and maintain the highest grading standards in the world, industry leading packaging, and innovative retail purchase point merchandising aids to help make Medjool Dates the highest sales return item in the produce section.
Winterhaven Ranch
Winterhaven Ranch was started in the southeastern area of the Bard Valley in 1983 to exclusively grow and market Medjool Dates. In 1988, production was increased five fold to over 250,000 pounds of Medjool Dates grown each year. Today, Winterhaven produces over one million pounds of dates a year.
